You Won’t Believe What Federal Civil Servant Stole At Ministry

The storekeeper at the Federal Ministry of Information Resource Centre, Adamawa State, Abubakar Babetel, has been charged before the state Upper Area Chamber in Yola for allegedly stealing 55 plastic chairs and 66 UPS computer systems from the ministry.

According to a First Information Report (FIR) on the case prepared by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Bello Samuel, the allegation was first reported in December 2017.

The FIR noted that the whole story started on December 8, 2017, when one Martin H. Fallu of the Federal Ministry of Information, Yola, reported the case to the police that Babetel stole some items.

The FIR, however, stated that the items were yet to be valued, adding that the offence runs contrary to Section 289 of the Penal Code.
