World Wrestling Championships: Odunayo Wins Silver In Nigeria’s First Ever Final Contest

The 2014 Commonwealth gold medalist lost narrowly in the final of 55kg women’s freestyle to her Japanese opponent to win a silver medal and making it the first time Nigeria will contest in the final of the World Wrestling Championships.

Nigeria’s wrestler Odunayo Adekuoroye has won silver for at the ongoing World Wrestling Championships in Paris, France. The 2015 wrestling bronze medalist lost 5-4 to Japan’s Haruna Okuno in the final.

While it might have been a disappointing loss for her, it, however, marks the first time Nigeria will participate in the final of world wrestling event.
