Senator Remi Tinubu, the wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Bola Tinubu, sparked reactions when she allegedly told an Igbo voter “we no dey trust una again”.
Upon reaching her polling unit on Saturday for the Governorship and State Assembly elections, Mrs. Tinubu was said to have told one physically challenged voter identified as Charles Nnamani that the Igbos in Lagos did not vote for President Muhammadu Buhari during the presidential election.
Mrs. Nnamani replied her that she personally voted the incumbent president, but the Senator immediately responded: “How I go know? Igbo, we no dey trust una again (How will I know? You Igbo, we don’t trust you anymore.)”
Tinubu, who was elected for a third term in the Senate last month, had earlier told people who demanded money from her at the polling booth “show me your hand, get the money.”
