The Senior Advocate of Nigeria and human rights activist, Femi Falana, on Tuesday 23rd July debunks reports on his chamber holding brief for Timi and Busola Dakolo’s rape allegations against the founder of Common Wealth of Zion Assembly, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.
Femi Falana in a text message clarified his position in the matter stating the couples had earlier written a petition to the Inspector General of Police before contacting his firm in expressed fear with the fact their petition might not be investigated.
Falana also confirms his firm’s intervention by requesting the police authorities to investigate the complaint of the couple’s allegations against pastor Fatoyinbo.
In a bid to ensure a speedy, thorough and fair investigation on the case, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, on Monday ordered the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department, Michael Ogbizi to take all necessary actions.
It would be recalled the wife of the president Aisha Buhari had ordered the inspector General of police Muhammed Adamu to investigate Busola’s story however, the couples in a press conference during the weekend announced their lives are in danger following their rape allegations against Pastor Fatoyinbo.
