In a recent development, the Turkish government have seized to keep silent over the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Turkish sources reported to media, that they believed the Saudi writer and critic was killed inside the consulate in what they referred to as “premeditated murder”
However, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has aggravated on Riyadh over the disappearance of Khashoggi, he said that Ankara “cannot remain silent to such an incident”
“We are investigating all aspects of the event. It is not possible for us to remain silent regarding such an occurrence, because it is not a common occurrence,” he said.
He also questioned authorities, over the consulate security, he states that how is it possible the consulate wouldn’t have footage around.
“How is it possible for a consulate, an embassy not to have security camera systems? Is it possible for the Saudi Arabian consulate where the incident occurred not to have camera systems?” he said.
“If a bird flew, if a mosquito appeared, these systems would catch them and [I believe] they would have the most advanced of systems,” he said.
On October 2, Khashoggi came into Saudi Arabia’s consulate in Istanbul to obtain a document certifying he divorced his ex-wife after which he never returned. His disappearance has aggravated world questioning.
