According to Goal, Juventus have accepted Tottenham’s €70 million (£65m/$78m) bid for Paulo Dybala. As a move to England grows closer, the forward is now set for talks with spurs over contract terms.
The 25-year-old is said to be one of Juventus top players since his arrival from Palermo in 2015, helping the Italian giants to four Serie A titles. Following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo last season, Dybala has seen his future called into question after playing fewer games during the campaign.
The Argentine finished the 2018/2019 campaign with 10 goals in all competitions for Juventus, down from which he scored 26 goals in the previous season and 19 in the season before that.
Paulo Dybala has been linked with a move to Manchester United in a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku which has now ended, in which Inter are back as favorites to land the Belgian.
On reaching last season’s Champions League final, Tottenham gained cash from their performance and this will be a major statement following the arrival of Dybala. Spurs lost to Liverpool in the European final in Madrid, but they are now eager to spend some of the money they earned from that run.
Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon and Jack Clarke from Leeds are the two signings Tottenham have made in this summer transfer market. But Clarke has been loaned back to his club for the 2019/2020 season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are fishing to sign more players ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline. Dybala is not the only big name who could arrive in north London as spurs have emerged as favorites to loan Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona.
