Saraki Appoints Ex-Senator As Aide

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has appointed Senator Abubakar Danladi Abubakar as his Special Adviser on Special Duties.

The appointment was announced through a statement by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Senate President, Yusuph Olaniyonu, on Sunday.

The statement reads “President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has approved the appointment of Sen. Abubakar Danladi Abubakar as his Special Adviser on Special Duties.

“The appointment takes immediate effect.

“Abubakar has served in the 8th Senate representing Taraba North where he served as chairman of Committee on NEPAD and member of other committees.

“The 53-year-old former lawmaker also served as Deputy Governor before his election to the Senate in 2015.”

Recall, Mr. Danladi was in 2017 sacked by the Supreme Court as senator representing Taraba North.
