Roman Reigns is set to return to the rings few months after being diagnosed with leukemia.
The 33-year-old WWE Star announced on Monday Night Raw in October that he would be relinquishing the Universal Title after his diagnosis. SunSport however reports that WWE owner Vince McMahon has confirmed the star will be returning to the company’s flagship show next week via a tweet:
“@WWERomanReigns (aka Joe Anoa’i) will address the status of his fight with leukemia this Monday on Raw. #fighter #proud #classy.” Meanwhile, wrestling fans are excited as Reigns, whose real name is Joe Anoa’I, has not been on the WWE TV show since the discovered the illness five months back. Legit.ng earlier reported that World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Universal Championship title holder Roman Reigns says his leukemia has returned after almost 11 years of battling it. The 33-year-old American who was first diagnosed at the age of 22 said the leukemia has returned which meant he could no longer be the fighting champion.
