Rogers Cup: Svitolina Condemns Wozniacki To Sixth Consecutive Final Loss In 2017

Caroline Wozniacki lost a final for the sixth final in 2017 after she lost to Elina Svitolina in the final of Rogers cup in Canada.

Svitolina, 22, beat Wozniacki 6-4 6-0 in 77 minutes to win in Toronto.

For the sixth seeded Wozniacki, it was another heartbreak for her, losing a 6th consecutive final this year but was gracious in defeat hailing Svitolina’s display.

“It was a tough day,” said Wozniacki. “She played well. She mixed up the pace and made it uncomfortable for me out there.

“Today, probably I could have used some more pace, but she played really smart today and used my pace to her advantage.”
