Real Madrid Set To Appoint Former Free-kick Specialist As Manager

Roberto Carlos is being considered by the Real Madrid to take up the position for a caretaker role, if they sack the under-pressure manager.

The former Real Madrid star, 45, has only limited managerial experience.

Sources claim the legendary Brazil defender is being considered by the club’s hierarchy for a caretaker role if Solari is sacked.

The collapse of Real’s season in the last two weeks has left Solari helpless, and the management are looking for what to do next.

Appointing a caretaker until the end of the season would give the Real board some breathing space. Roberto Carlos would be a left-field choice for the role, having had just two short stints as a manager in Turkey, before his last job as boss of Delhi Dynamos in 2015.

Nonetheless Real Won 4 – 1 against Real Valladolid on Sunday.
