Rafael Nadal To Be Announced As World’s Number One Next Week Monday

For the first time since 2014, French Open Champion Rafael Nadal will return to top of the men’s Tennis ranking.

Roger Federer’s withdrawal from the Cinccinati Masters means Nadal will be the new world number next week Monday. Federer is the only man who could have prevented Nadal’s return to the top but the 19-time Grand Slam winner confirmed his withdrawal after getting injured in Sunday’s Rogers Cup defeat to Alexander Zverev.

British man, Andy Murray also pulled out of the Cincinnati Masters last week due to a hip injury.

Federer was injured in Sunday’s Rogers Cup final defeat by Alexander Zverev.

Briton, Andy Murray pulled out of Cincinnati last week as he continues to recover from a hip injury.
