Police Has Slighted Governors – Fayose

Senator Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State is extremely irate with the Nigerian Police… “As opposed to attempting to choke Nigerians and going about as though it has progressed toward becoming laws unto itself, the police ought to pursue the executioner herders and their colleagues.”

“On whose protestations did the police announce Afegbua needed? Did General Babangida hold up any grumble against him? Was there anything in the announcement discharged by him that Nigerians don’t know before now? Is it not genuine that President Buhari has looked the other way while herders were executing Nigerians?”

“Which one should intrigue the police? Capturing those herders and their colleagues that have murdered a huge number of Nigerians in Benue, Taraba, Kaduna, Plateau, Adamawa, Ogun, Ekiti and different States or racing to announce a Nigerians who just practiced his rights to opportunity of articulation needed?”

“In particular, for what reason didn’t the police capture previous President Olusegun Obasanjo when he discharged comparable proclamation against President Buhari? That assertion by the police against Mr Afegbua is malignant, careless, unlawful, unjustifiable and against all vote based ethos. It ought to be pulled back forthwith.”

“I talk as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum and I denounce that affront on Governor Ortom by the PPRO. I anticipate that the NGF will likewise ascend in judgment of this attack on one of its individuals on the grounds that damage to one is damage to all. Moreover, it is Governor Ortom that the PPRO offended on National Television today; it can be some other representative tomorrow.”

“For the benefit of PDP governors, I censure this flippant demonstration of the PPRO and interest for quick withdrawal of the announcement and additionally open conciliatory sentiment from the Inspector General of Police (IGP).”
