Former Niger state Governor, Babangida Aliyu, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019.
Babangida stated this at the Niger East senatorial gathering of former state and national assembly members, ex-commissioners and local government chairmen over the weekend.
“2019 is the year for PDP we will return to power”, he said.
“When PDP returns to power, we will ensure people are given their rights; no Nigerlite will go to bed hungry”, he said.
“Our party remains solid and poised for victory next year”.
“When we win election next year and they want to return, we will not accept them”.
“We are the party to beat next year. We will be transparent and fair in its decision making policies”, the chieftain added.
He, however, appealed to eligible citizens to ensure they obtained their voters’ cards ahead of the next elections.
