Born in Lagos on Jan. 12, 1940, Okoya is a billionaire industrialist and the Aare of Lagos.

The Vice President of Nigeria who presided over the cutting of birthday cake prayed far an additional year (100) for the celebrant and also told God to preserve him and keep him in good health.
The event was cluttered with A-list guest and his youngest wife, Shade Okoya, was on her toes making sure the commemorative birthday was talk of the town as she put all necessary logistics like security, sumptuous dishes, vintage drinks, good music and sundry merriments in place which made the day a memorable one.
