Victor Osimhen stole the show as the Olympic Eagles of Nigeria whitewashed the U23 national team of Libya 4-0 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State.
Chidozie Okereke completed the rout in the 3rd minute of stoppage time to ensure Nigeria keep the hope of qualifying for the U23 Africa Cup of Nations billed for Egypt in November 2019 alive.
The Nigeria U23 team which lost the first leg 2-0 started the home game with full force right from the first blast of the whistle.
The home side opened the scoring on the half hour mark when Victor Osimhen pounced on a loose ball in the box to score to send the entire stadium into the wilds.
The Nigerian team continued to search for the second goal hitting the woodwork on a number of occasions the visitors containing the pressure as both teams went into the dressing room with Nigeria leading 1-0.
On the return of the second half, Osimhen yet again struck in the 67th minute to draw Nigeria level on aggregate.
Osimhen finishes superbly after being put through by Nwakali to complete his hat trick before Chidozie Okereke added the icing on the cake as Nigeria rout their opponents 4-0.
Nigeria are now through to the final round of the qualifiers.
