Operation Amotekun: Fani Kayode Blows Hot Over FG’s Position

ABUJA (GVE)- Former Special Assistant (Public Affairs) to Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, and member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has blown hot over Federal Government’s (FG) position on newly established security outfit in the Southwest, “Operation Amotekun”.

The Attorney General of the Federation, Justice Abubakar Malami had on Tuesday, stated that the security outfit which was jointly established by the South-West governors, was illegal.

This has since generated controversies among Nigerians as well as stakeholders who believe that the government was not being realistic and fair in its position.

Fani-Kayode on Thursday took to his Twitter page @realFFK to lash out at the government saying so many atrocities were committed in the South-West without retaliation.

“You killed Funke Olakunrin and thousands of others over the last 4 years. We refused to retaliate, we mourn our dead and shed our tears quietly and with dignity and we hide our pain.

“Now you tell us that we have no right to defend ourselves and that Amotekun must go. To hell with you!” he tweeted.
