One person was confirmed dead on Wednesday in an auto crash on the Onitsha-Owerri Expressway in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
While three others sustained injuries in the multiple motor accident.
A bystander who witnessed the incident shared the incident as a brake failure.
Andrew Kumapayi, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in the state, confirmed the incident.
He said, ” Six male were involved in the crash which took the life of one person with three others sustaining serious of injury.
He added that the victims were rushed to a hospital, while the corpse was deposited at the mortuary by a good Samaritan.
It was gathered that the crash involved three vehicles; a Daf Truck with reg no. NNE733XA, an Iveco Truck with reg no. RRN733XA and a Dangote Truck, which plate number was removed before the arrival of the FRSC rescue team.
While condoling with the deceased’s family, Kumapayi wished the victims a quick recovery.
