Buildings and vehicles belonging to the deputy speaker of Ogun state, Taiwo Oluomo, have been burnt down by thugs in Ifo area of the state.
The thugs who are suspected to be sponsored by a defeated political party in the state attacked the constituency office of the deputy speaker, Taiwo Oluomo’s office and completely razed his vehicles.
The incident was confirmed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the commissioner of police in the state, displaying photographs of the destroyed vehicles.
Giving details of the incident, Oluomo, said the attack happened immediately after the celebration of Akoogun festival in Ifo in which one of the boys believed to be opposed to APC during the last election was reported to have invited many political thugs and unionists for the attacks.
He said vehicles razed included three forty-two (342) seater buses, one Luxury bus and another thirty-six seater bus, which he uses for free school shuttle for children in the town.
The commissioner of police in the state, Bashir Makama, said investigations are ongoing concerning the incident.
