There is more trouble for the embattled Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Ademola AdelekeAdemola Adeleke as a Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday ordered the seizure of his passport and due attendance of court proceedings in the alleged Examination Malpractice suit filed by the Nigerian Police

The Police had brought Adeleke and his relative, Sikiru alongside four others before Justice I. E. Ekwo for impersonation and exam malpractice at Ojo Aro Community Grammar school in Egbedore Local Government of Osun State.

According to the plaintiff, the embattled Senator who has a record of failure in the 1981 WAEC examination at Ede Muslim Grammar School and Sikiru Adeleke were fraudulently presented as students of Ojo/Aro community grammar school to write the 2017 June/July NECO SSCE examinations to cover up for his failure in the previous examination in February 2017.

Arraigned alongside the PDP governorship candidate were the principal of Ojo-Aro Community Grammer school, Alhaji Aregbesola Muftau, the Registrar of the school, Gbadamosi Ojo and a teacher in the school, Dare Samuel Olutope.

The four counts bothering on conspiracy, acting in concert as students of the school, exam malpractice and impersonation contravenes Sections 10 of the Examination Malpractices Act Cap E15 LFN 2004, 9(1) of the Examination Malpractices Act Cap E15 LFN 2004, 3(2) of the Examination Malpractices Act Cap E15 LFN 2004 and the fourth count of conspiracy and appearance of the first two defendants  as students of the school which is not true, an act contrary to Section 10(a) and punishable under Section 3(2) of the Examination Malpractices Act Cap E15.

Despite pleading not guilty to the four counts against them, the embattled Senator who possesses no eligible qualification to be the Governor of Osun State absconded from the first court sitting but was later released on bail on self-recognition.

This case, however, brings to the fore fraudulent and unethical efforts of the dancing senator to acquire a complete NECO result through the back door by registering for the examination like a normal student of the school which negates the norm. The police during yesterday court appearance said it will prove a case of fraud and impersonation against Sen. Adeleke who holds a 2017 NECO Examination result he didn’t sit for.

The judge, however, directed him to deposit his passport with the registrar of the court, adding that he must not travel out of the country without the permission of the court.

It is unclear what the fate of the embattled Osun West senator would be as his trial begins on December 17 but findings by this medium indicate that Adeleke might go to jail as the witnesses of the prosecution would be available to testify against the dancing senator and his cohorts.
