“My Mum’s Illness Made Me Participate In BBNaija” – K Brule

In the latest episode of the Big Brother Naija reunion show which aired on Thursday, March 28, one of the housemates Kelvin Brouillette, popularly known as K Brule made some new revelations about some personal ordeals that inspired his participation in the show.

The ex-housemate was among one of the first housemates that took an involuntary exit from the show. He was disqualified alongside his partner Khloe, after they both earned three strikes from Big Brother.

Fielding questions from the show’s host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, K Brule opened up about his life outside of the Big Brother house, and how he had to deal with his sick mum, poor family finances and dropping out of school.

He revealed that he had to leave his mum who was battling cancer, to participate in the reality show and earn a chance of winning the prize money, which could have gone a long way in managing her health condition.

According to him, dealing with all these predicaments was a major reason why he was infuriated by Khloe who brought his mother into an argument between the both of them.

Speaking further while the rest of the reality stars paid rapt attention, K.Brule noted that the show had helped him calm down as he tends to be a very impulsive person. He said he has realized that no matter how good a person’s intentions are, impulsivity could lead such a person into making wrong decisions.

K Brule added that he has decided to let go of things especially if it won’t matter in five years. He said : “Anytime anyone tries to get you angry, calm down, reflect, think properly; if it’s not gonna matter in 5 years, don’t spend 5 minutes being angry”

His submission earned him a standing ovation from his fellow housemates who could not stop applauding him.
