The mother of the slain Kolade Johnson has stated that life is now unbearable for her since the death of her son, saying she wants justice.
Kolade was at a football viewing centre at Onipetesi, Mangoro Agege last Sunday when he was shot dead by an officer of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
“I talked to him on the phone around 10:00pm on Saturday,” the mother managed to say.
“Every Sunday, I usually call him and his siblings when I get to church. But last Sunday, I did not go to church with my phone. It was on Monday morning that I heard the bad news.
“Everything is in the hands of God. I cannot move on by myself; only God can help me to move on with life, but I need justice.”
Odebiyi stated that Kolade was one of the people, who always consoled her whenever she thought of her unpaid pensions – 10 years after she retired from the Lagos State Printing Corporation.
“For the past 10 years that I retired, I have not received my pension but with Kolade and other children by my side, I try to get over the worry. I retired from the Lagos State Printing Corporation,” she stated.
