Pro supporter, productive essayist, writer and media supervisor, Mahmoon Baba-Ahmed, is dead. He was 74.
Mr Baba-Ahmed kicked the bucket on Thursday night after brief disease, his child, Aminu, disclosed to DAILY NIGERIAN.
Mr Baba-Ahmed started his telecom profession as obligation coherence broadcaster at the Broadcasting Company of Northern Nigeria, BCNN, in 1971.
He quickly joined New Nigerian Newspapers as sub-supervisor before coming back to BCNN for outstation posting.
He filled in as state reporter of BCNN in Bauchi, Kano, Borno, Plateau and Lagos as boss journalist of Radio Nigeria, Kaduna.
He was later delegated a chief of data in Kaduna State Ministry of Information. He served for around five years previously his arrangement as the Managing Director of Kaduna State Media Corporation, KSMC.
In 1983, Kano State representative, Sabo Bakinzuwo, designated him General Manager, Kano State Media Corporation. Mr Baba-Ahmed served for one year at Radio Kano before backpedaling FRCN as controller of Current Affairs.
In the wake of resigning into private media business, he additionally kept up a segment in a Hausa vernacular daily paper, Aminiya, and Blueprint Newspapers.
