Seidu Adeyemi, the killer of the daughter of former deputy governor of Ondo State, Khadijat Oluboyo, has been sentenced to death by hanging.

After killing her for a money ritual purpose, Adeyemi buried Khadijat inside his room at Aratusi, Oke-Aro area of Akure, for six days.

Justice Samuel Bola said that the prosecution had established that Adeyemi, a graduate of Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), committed the offense he was charged for.

The judge also held that by criminal law, the convict had committed a capital offense requiring death by hanging.

The prosecution led by State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Kola Olawoye, said the verdict was a victory for the state.
