The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in Kano State reiterated the need for political office holders to declare their assets before the end of their tenure.
The CCB made this known in a statement issued by its State Director, Umar Saulawa, today.
Saulawa said it became necessary for political office holders to declare their assets, as it is in line with the provisions of the 1999 constitution as amended.
He said, “We want to remind all the outgoing elected and appointed political office holders in the state to come forward to the Bureau’s office to collect their assets declaration form.”
He further admonished them to comply with the directives, as failure to do so amounts to a breach of the law which attracts sanctions.
