JUST IN: Protesters Storm Labour Minister, Ngige’s Residence

A group of protesters led by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has stormed the residence of the minister of Labour, Dr Chris Ngige, in Asokoro area of the Federal Capital City, Abuja.

The protesters, who barricaded the residence as early as 5 am this morning, said the failure of Ngige to inaugurate the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF)  Board prompted the action.

Meanwhile, there were observations that some security personnel threw stones at the workers who were protesting at the minister’s residence.
