The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has sent his condolence to the victims of the Lagos school building collapse which occurred on Wednesday.
He said: “It touches one to lose precious lives in any kind of mishap, particularly those so young and tender. May God grant everyone affected by this sad incident fortitude and succour.”

Through the message conveyed by the president’s media aide, Mr. Femi Adesina, the president was saddened by the collapse which caused fatalities, especially the children.
The president sympathized with the parents and relations of the deceased, wishing them God’s comfort and the injured speedy and complete recovery.
He commiserated with the government and people of Lagos State, pledging the assistance of the Federal Government as might be required by the state and charged the Lagos State government to do all that was needful, so that such tragic developments did not recur in future.
