The latest sold-out show of Wizkid at the Royal Albert Hall in London, has set off a historical among music enthusiasts in Nigerian and abroad.
Wizkid, who can unapologetically be tagged rave of the moment, was recently compared to Nigerian Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti on micro-blogging site, Twitter.
Mixed reactions trailed Wizkid, as his fans jumped into conclusion that he must be the greatest Nigerian musician to ever emerge from Africa.
On Fela’s posthumous birthday, Wizkid took to his Instagram page to wish the late Nigerian music legend a happy birthday.
Expressing his view about the recent comparison of him with Fela, Wizkid said he’s ‘here’ to only create his (Wizkid) legacy.
Wizkid maintained that though, Fela is an inspiration to his music, but he’s not trying to live like him in any way.
