Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane has said that he hoped Gareth Bale had been training while they were on course at the Audi Cup competition, as the report reached him that the said player was busy playing golf.
Zidane had earlier explained to the media that the Welshman did not travel to Munich for the two-match tournament because he was not fit as against the backdrop of his statement that Bale would be leaving.
According to Spanish media outlet El Confidencial, the report of Bale’s golfing activities got to the team accompanied by pictures after the team lost I-0 to Tottenham. Zidane reacted to the report by saying, “
“I hope he trained there.
“We are here, thinking about the team.”
Bale’s future in Madrid is still in shroud despite club’s president Florentino Perez is said to have blocked his move to Chinese club Jiangsu Suning.
When asked if Bale’s attitude bothered him, Zidane said:
“Well, we’ll see when we get back.
“I will not prevent someone from doing something. He has to look after his responsibilities.
“We will see what he has done in Madrid. I will not get into his personal life. But I think he has done training.”
