No lesser than three policemen and three vigilante men were killed in herdsmen attack in Bagana community in Omala Local Government Area of Kogi state.
According to a source identified as Sadiq, trouble began two weeks ago, when some residents of a nearby village of about two kilometres from Bagana had rifts with herdsmen, leading to loss of three people.
speaking with newsmen, he said the attackers, who were fully armed came in group and were selectively burning houses and shooting residents in the early hours of today.

Sadiq explained “We had a prior knowledge of the attack, so the Administrator of the local government mobilised Police to our place. Our own vigilante men were also parading with the Police, but the attackers who came early in the day were so many.”
He further revealed that the herdsmen also attacked Patanyi area of the state, saying that no life was lost as residents deserted the area before the arrival of the herdsmen today.
