The authorities of philippine are investigating the death of four soldiers that were shot by the police around the restive south area of the country.
The minister of defence has vowed to get to the bottom of the murder in every cost.
It was disclosed that the soldiers who were on pursuit of “bomb-makers and suicide bombers” that were believed were from Abu Sayyaf militant group.
The soldiers were attacked by police in the Muslim-majority province of Sulu on Monday, the army has said.
“We don’t want this to escalate. We will get to the bottom of this,” he said.
Lorenzana said the findings should be released soon as The country’s National Bureau of Investigation is already probing the incident
The army has accused the police of firing on the soldiers even after they identified themselves as members of the military.
