Ondo State Former Governor Bamidele Olumilua has died at the age of 80 in his Ikere Ekiti residence Today after some brief illness.
His Eldest son Identified as Muyiwa Olumilua who is the Ekiti Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation said this in a statement.
He said; “We thank God that he lived a good and worthy life and we are proud of his personality and achievements while alive,” he said.
“Burial arrangements will be announced later.”
Olumilua whose death came few weeks after his 80th birthday was elected under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) until General Sani Abacha truncated civilian administration and restored military rule.
