The couple already split up in 2016 after it was revealed that Ryan Giggs had cheated on his wife Stacey but an official divorce is due for today.
Former Manchester United and Wales star, Ryan Giggs and his estranged wife Stacey are due to divorce today as she’s expected to be granted a decree nisi during brief proceedings in central London.
Since the split in 2016, the couple have been involved in proceedings in the Family Division of the High Court in London relating to the division of marital assets.
Giggs, who made 963 appearances for Manchester United cheated on his wife with multiple women, including ending his own brother’s marriage after having an 8-year affair with his wife.
A judge is expected is be asked to decide at a future hearing on how big a share of the marital assets Mrs. Giggs should get if an agreement is not reached in the £40m divorce battle.
Giggs estrange wife has previously said she wants the divorce court fight over money to end as ”swiftly and amicably as possible”.
