In celebration of Eid-Fitri, Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has today shaken hands with the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, at the Eid praying ground in the state.
Since the split of Kano emirate which used to be under Sanusi’s sole control into 5, They duo have not been together publicly.
Sanusi, dressed in his full royal regalia, shook hands and shared laughs with the governor at the playing ground.
There were reports on Monday about Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-corruption Commission which recommended Sanusi’s suspension over alleged misappropriation of N3.4 billion.
The first class emir was said to have opposed Ganduje’s re-election bid, a move which backfired after the governor narrowly won a fiercely contested election.
Ganduje, however, has insisted that his move to have more emirates in the state was for development and not vendetta.
