The Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim beseech Politicians to shun politics of bitterness and hatred prior the governorship and Kogi west Senatorial elections coming up next Saturday.
He urged them to be rather dedicated towards the development of the state.
The speech was made by the supreme ruler on Saturday when members of the Challenged Parenthood Initiative (CPI) came visiting in the town hall in Okene.
The town hall meeting was organised to sensitize voters and party officials on the need to promote peace, and send to the Coventry all forms of violence prior, during and after the election.
Ibrahim said politics shouldn’t be for power tussle nor a field of war, instead politicians should adopt Righteousness which is a rare commodity amidst them.
He said Kogi would remain indivisible.
He further stated that a nation can fall when the people neither believe nor trust in each other. so he implored politicians to be trustworthy because if they had been, there wont be a need to campaign against violence.
“No nation needs a leader that will make them slaves. All we want is peace and not war. It is high time every citizen come together to think of how we will move forward.
“Anyone instigating the other to cause violence in Kogi State should have a rethink, because we are all brothers and sisters in the sight of God” he concluded.
