Dino Melaye Tells IGP What Must Be Done To End SARS Brutality

The Senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, has said that reformation of the Nigeria Police Force was necessary for safeguarding the lives of Nigerians.

Melaye in a tweet stated that reforming the police, especially the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, was vital.

The lawmaker advised the acting Inspector General of Police, IGP, Adamu Mohammed, to reform the Force in order to redeem the image of the police.

According to Melaye: “There is no better time to reform the police especially SARS than now. The IGP must redeem the battered image of the Force. It is becoming unbecoming.”

“The Lives of Nigerians should be precious to all. Enough of indiscriminate Killings.”
Melaye’s call followed reports of brutality on Nigerians in the last one month by SARS operatives across the country.
