Customs Arrest Nigerien With Tramadol Worth N30 Million

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has arrested a Nigerien, Sahabi Adamu, with three bags of ‘Ghana Must Go’ sacks filled up with Tramadol tablets worth street value of N30, 000,000 in Kano today.

Speaking with Journalists in his office today, the Comptroller of the NCS Federal Operation Unit (FOU) Zone ‘B’ Kaduna, Sarkin Kebbi Mustafa noted that the three Ghana must go sacks contained 1,146 packets of 225mg of Tramadol tablets.

He said “One suspect Sahabi Adamu was arrested in Kano along Kano- Hadeija road with three Ghana must go sacks with Tramadol tablets packed in an Honda Accord vehicle with street value put at 30 million naira.”

According to him, the suspect confessed to have been in the business for some years, not alone in the business and promised to assist in the arrest of other members.

Comptroller Mustafa said, the FOU under his leadership will  strive harder in getting rid of the system of illicit drugs.

The Federal Government banned tramadol tablets because of the its health hazards.
