Court Grants Dokpesi Request To Travel Abroad For Medical Checkup

The presiding judge,Justice John Tsoho, who granted the application filed by Dokpesi’s defence lawyer, Kanu Agabi, SAN, also granted the request for adjournment.

The judge later adjourned the matter till Jan. 21, Jan. 22 and Jan. 23  for the defence counsel to open their defence.

It would be recalled  that Dokpesi was being accused by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of receiving N2.1 billion from former national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki, in 2015.

The defendant had earlier been arraigned before the court on a six-count charge, when the seven amended charges were read to him, Dokpesi pleaded not guilty.
