The state government has stepped up measures to contain the spread of the virus by converting the National Stadium into an isolation centre, a move that would help the state prepare for worst case scenarios.
Cases of the coronavirus is on a daily increase in the country and currently stands at 51 confirmed cases, whit Lagos having the largest share of the outbreak in the country.
Thirty-two persons have tested positive in the state, according to data by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Considering the rising number of infected persons, Lagos had stepped up partnership with private hospitals to devise guidelines for setting up and operating isolation centres and initiating treatment protocol.
Meanwhile most state governments have also stepped up measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus, but none had yet announce construction of isolation centres which could help prepare the country against severe outbreak.
