Building Collapse: Oyo State Government Runs To Victims Aid

The government of Oyo State has deployed two excavator to Sogoye, Molete area of Ibadan in Oyo state, where they are trying to rescue the victims that are trapped under a building that collapsed on Friday.

Report has it that the building collapsed around 5:45pm.

Report gathered that the number and identities of affected people could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report

Mr. Toye Arulogun, the Oyo state government spokesman, said the government was managing the situation.

Mr. Arulogun said: “We have deployed two excavators there. Our officials are right there now, to rescue trapped victims. There is no cause for alarm.

A three-storey building under construction had collapsed suddenly, with several people injured and others trapped underneath.

No death has been recorded as at the time of filing this report.”
