Buhari in closed-door meeting with outgoing IG, successor

The assistant inspector general of police, Mohammed Adamu, has been seen at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, January 15.

Adamu, who was sighted heading to the office of the chief of staff to the president, Abba Kyari, is said to be the possible replacement for the outgoing inspector-general of police, Ibrahim Idris, whose tenure expired after years of service.

Punch gathers that though the official announcement of Idris’ replacement has not been made by President Muhammadu Buhari, emerging reports indicated that the country may have a new police boss in days to come after current IGP, Idris reportedly had a meeting with the president.
