A Federal High Court in Asaba has cancelled the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s governorship primary election held on September 30, in Delta state.
The presiding judge, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, gave the ruling today, after the applicant, Hon Victor Ochei, through his lawyer, Ahmed Rahi, (SAN), in a suit asked that the court to declare the party’s primary election as illegal and unlawful, on the ground that delegates unknown to the law were used for the exercise.
Earlier, the governorship candidate of the APC in the state, Great Ogboru, affirmed that he will reclaim the party’s stolen governorship mandate.
Ogboru, yesterday, also said the party filed its petition to challenge the alleged ballot snatching, over voting, vote buying and impunity by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the governorship election.
