Reports filtering-in have it that President Muhammadu Buhari has fired his Chief Security Officer, Bashir Abubakar.
E247mag.com understands that Abubakar’s exit will pave way for a new face from the Department of State Security, although reasons for the sack is yet to be unraveled.
Recall that the controversial officer once expelled the state house correspondent of the Punch Newspapers from the seat of power in 2018.
Investigations have it that Abubakar is suspected to be a key loyalist of the former DG lawal Daura.
“Most of the leakages in the villa comes from him,” a source said.
The source described Bashir Abubakar as a very arrogant person who has a deep understanding of his boss and decided to exploit his weaknesses to his advantages.
Bashir was appointed in July 2015 by the president to replace Abdul Mana who was sacked over his alleged involvement in shady deals and also undermining the president.
