Brazilian Legend, Ronaldinho, Imprisoned In Paraguay

Brazilian football legend, Ronaldinho, has been placed behind bars in Paraguay for attempting to enter that country with a fake passport.

The former AC Milan and Barcelona star was arrested on Wednesday, March 4, alongside his brother and business manager Roberto, who also entered the South American country with a fake passport. They are both being held in the same police station in the capital Asuncion, but Ronaldinho and his brother claim they were tricked in using the passports.

Although the brothers pleaded to be released into house arrest, the presiding judge rejected the plea saying the offence was a “serious one against the interests of the Paraguayan state” and remanded them in prison.
