Following the latest Boko Haram assault where 110 young ladies were kidnapped in Dapchi, Yobe state, the presidency says the fear based oppressor has just been beaten down and not vanquished completely. Review that the administration and the Nigerian Army had up to this point kept up that the group has been crushed.
In a meeting with Channels TV the previous evening, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, conceded that the war against Boko Haram rebellion has not finished, including that the fear mongers have not been totally crushed. He however kept up that the Buhari-drove organization has recorded a few achievements in its battle against rebellion.
in his words:If the operating word is ‘totally’, the answer is no obviously – but has Boko Haram been degraded? I will say yes, terribly so. You can compare then and now, they have been terribly, terribly degraded but is the war over? No, it is not completely over. Compare how Boko Haram was in 2015 when this administration came, they were virtually running riot everywhere – how many time was Kano bombed, how many time was Abuja bombed, how many time was Kogi bombed; Boko Haram was everywhere…Truly, it should never have happened. After what the country experienced in the Chibok girls’ saga, this one that just happened in Dapchi should never have happened” he concluded
Adesina however assured Nigerians that President Buhari is doing everything in his power to ensure that the girls are returned safely as soon as possible.
