The remains of Alhaja Mariam Abiodun Ayoka Balogun has been buried. Alhaja Ayoka Balogun passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at her Oshodi, Lagos residence. She was 95years old.
Family and friends filled with emotions gathered at her 8, Olusoji Shobiye street, Orile Oshodi for her burial according to Islamic rites.
At the burial, prayers were offered for the soul of the departed. The cleric extolled her virtues as a faithful mother, a devout worshipper of Allah, a cheerful giver, and a good community leader. While he described death as a necessary end to mankind, he emphasized the need for all human beings to engage in lofty deeds that they will be remembered for after their passage.
Fondly called Mama Elewa, Alhaja Ayoka is survived by four children including Gani Kayode Balogun, a blogger and public analyst on radio, television, especially Journalists’ Hangout on Television Continental (TVC), currently on vacation in the United States of America (USA).
