Katsina State governor, Aminu Masari has bewailed killings, kidnapping and destruction of property by bandits in the state.
Masari, while speaking with the acting Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu on Wednesday, noted that bandits have taken over his State.
The governor who was represented by his deputy, Mannir Yakubu, said his administration has met with the eight Local Government chairmen to keep them abreast of all activities, while also noting the donation of 12 vans to the police.
Stating that the IGP came in a period of anxiety, the governor reiterated Katsina state’s support for the ongoing ‘Operation Puff Adder’ with funds, logistics and accommodation.
He said, “These bandits strike at will, maim at will, destroy lives and property at will.
“In other parts of the state, we also have kidnappers who not only take people on the road but in the comfort of their homes.”

He further Pledged to eradicate the menace,
