Atiku, Femi Falana, Ezekwesili, Eedris Abdulkareem Blast Buhari Over Sowore’s Arrest

Reactions have continue to trail the arrest of former presidential candidate of African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore , by Department of State Service, due to his plans revolution protest tagged ”Days of Rage”

Many Nigerians while reacting to the arrest called for sowore’s release and also criticized President Buhari for using the DSS to silence Sowore, others also commended him for arresting sowore.

Nigerian Rapper, Eedris Abdukareem on his Instagram page, described sowore arrest as ” Harassment and intimidation of revolution and no amount of harassment or intimidation can stop it.
Also reacting Former presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria and conveners of ” Bring Back Our Girls” Obey Ezekwesili called for sowore released, she said” @AsoRock ought to know that they cannot sustain this unconstitutional habit of repression against citizen right.
According to Human rights lawyer and Nigeria Senior Advocate Femi Falana, ‘‘protest Marches Are Not Treasonable Offences in Nigeria’‘, while Proffessor Wole Soyinka, states ”Sowore has done or said nothing that warrants using the DSS to arrest him.
Mike Ozekhome, a senior advocate of Nigeria, also reacts to the arrest saying the ”Buhari’s Government is not tolerant of criticism and dancing on the street to protest against bad governance, does no amount to treason.

The Peoples Democratic Party, presidential candidate in 2019 election Atiku Abubarkar, also condemn the arrest on his Twitter page, he said ”maintained that freedom of speech is the ‘substructure of democracy.’’Freedom of speech is not only constitutionally guaranteed, it is the substructure of our democracy.
