The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday arrived the United States of America.
The Presidential Candidate Of PDP H.E Abubakar Atiku, just arrived in Washington DC to hold series of meetings with US officials, Business Communities and Nigerians in Living in Washington DC Metropolis.
On the trip with him are DG Campaign Council, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Dr Ndukwe, Adamu Atiku Abubakar, Hon Osita Chidioka, Bamikole Omishore and Motolani Shoda.
Atiku arrived at 2:17pm and was duly cleared by the Customs and Immigrations before he left the airport by 2:26pm.
Atiku confirmed his arrival via his verified Twitter handle that he would be meeting with US government officials, Nigerians living in Washington D.C metropolis and the business community”
The last time Atiku visited the U.S. was in 2007 when he left as Nigeria’s vice-president serving under former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Obasanjo had accused him of fraud while in office, and he was also linked to corruption charges filed in the U.S. The politician denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
For the past 12 years that Atiku was unable to visit the U.S, American authorities had declined to issue him entry visa amid speculations that a secret indictment had been filed against him by that US authorities.
