Minister of State, Labor and Employment,Festus Keyamo has justified the rearrest of Omoyele Sowore, convener of Revolution Now, in a courtroom.
Sowore, who is on trial on allegation of treason by the Department of States Services (DSS), was released on Thursday night after spending 128 days in their detention.
Report gathered reveals sowore was forcefully rearrested by DSS officials, after making an appearance in court on Friday, despite opposition by lawyers and his supporters.
The action which drawn both local and international condemnation over the manner of his rearrest and particularly, where it took place.
Following this development, Keyamo, a senior advocate and campaign director for President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election, has defended the action of the secret police.
He said “There is nothing constitutionally wrong with rearresting Sowore in courtroom, an offender can be captured anywhere,” he was quoted as saying by Voice of Nasarawa, a publication in Nasarawa State.
