Ahmed Lawan Emerges Senate President, Defeats Ndume

Senator – Elect Ahmned Ndume of the All Progressive Congress has emerged the President of the 9th national Assembly after a rowdy voting session where he had 79 votes and Ali Ndume his opponent had 28 votes from the 107 votes casted.

The Result was announced by the Clerk Mohammed Omolori and he has since taken his oath of office, all senators congratulated him in hopes of the 9th National Assembly making an impact in his tenure.

The Post of the Senate President was formerly held by Bukola Saraki.
